Field report of an intern

The Georg company is considered a family-friendly company, which was clearly noticeable during my short time here in Kreuztal. The colleagues seem like a family which accepts and welcomes you instantly.
I had the opportunity to complete my two-week student internship in the marketing department, which I am more than excited about.

During my internship, there were many exciting tasks that I was allowed to complete, which meant that I was never bored. Among them were, for example, everyday tasks such as scanning documents, but also creative tasks such as creating an Instagram post or dealing with and researching a certain topic. In my case, it was gender fair language.

Furthermore, I was often able to look over my colleagues' shoulders and learned a lot about key metrics, for example. These often occur in the area of social media.

These metrics include likes, comments, profile visits, but also age, gender and much more. This information can be used to determine how successful a company's social media activities are.

Being able to learn all of this was a lot of fun for me because I got to know many new things and my tasks were really interesting.

In summary, I enjoyed my internship a lot and liked it very much. I was able to gain a good impression of working in the marketing department. I especially enjoyed the creative tasks and was also impressed by the working atmosphere, which was very pleasant and relaxed. If I had any questions, I could always turn to one of my friendly colleagues.

I would do an internship here at Georg again at any time.

Thank you Branco.

For 37 years, our colleague Branco Matejka provided our customers with help and advice. First in service for many years, then as a Sales Engineer. With the exception of Australia and New Zealand, he has traveled the whole world for us. And finally, he trained his successor, our former dual student Felix Wacker. Now his retirement begins.

We will miss you, Branco. As a full-blooded transformer man. As a GEORGian. As a person. Thank you, Branco.

BA degree R. Pankratz (dual student)

Young talent made by GEORG: We are delighted with our dual student Reinmar Pankratz, who has achieved a great Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Hats off, not only for the great grades, but also for the practically relevant results of his bachelor's thesis. We can implement these directly in the machine development of our transformer lines.

We congratulate you on your excellent degree and are delighted that we will be able to actively support you during your Master's degree.

Congratulations to Simon Weber (DS Mechanical Engineering) 2024

As one of the most attractive employers in our industry, we consistently produce high potentials. Simon Weber, for example, who has now successfully completed his mechanical engineering degree. Simon worked in our Roll Grinding product area alongside his studies and also wrote his bachelor's thesis there. His technical research is very valuable to us, so we will be implementing it.

Thank you, Simon! We are delighted to have you on board and look forward to working with you in the future.
