Head of Mechanical Production (m/f/d)

We are looking for the Head of Mechanical Production (m/f/d) with the following tasks and requirements profile at the earliest possible date.

Your tasks

You will ensure the quality and on-time production of individual parts and assemblies for customer orders in compliance with specifications and budgets, and develop our production in a future-proof manner. Your tasks will include:

• Operational management of mechanical production, maintenance and work preparation
• Motivating and appreciative management and development of the associated employees and teams
• Resource planning: personnel deployment, capacity and machine utilization planning
• Definition and implementation of a sustainable production strategy to realize potential savings
• Ongoing further development and optimization of manufacturing technology and production processes and implementation of improvement activities
• Managing and expanding the external awarding of production contracts in coordination with central purchasing
• Introduction and development of CAD/CAM technology
• Planning and implementation of investments in modern machinery and equipment
• Forecasting, budget planning and control  

Your profile

As an experienced management expert in mechanical production, you know how to motivate your team to perform at their best with your convincing and motivating communication skills in order to achieve the company's goals. You also qualify:

• Successfully completed industrial-technical training with subsequent further qualification as a technician or master craftsman or successfully completed technical studies, ideally with a focus on production and manufacturing technology
• Relevant professional experience with demonstrable success in production
• Very good empathy and strong decision-making and leadership skills
• Very good expert knowledge in the field of production planning and control, work preparation and machining technology
• Sound knowledge of the scheduling and control logic of ERP and APS systems in the area of production
• Experience in store floor management, 5S and lean (yellow belt or green belt) is desirable
